Days of Creation

In RE Great Bear Class have been learning about the Christian Creation story. We have been reading the Bible, learning a song and creating number collages of the days of creation. The children worked completely independantly and had lots of wonderful ideas on how to illustrate their part of the story.

Table of the Day

In Great Bear Class we have been talking about responsibility and being part of a team. Part of this is working together with our learning partners and table groups and to celebrate Great Bear Class' hard work we have table of the day.

This means you recieve our golden star trophy to have on your table all day and your table group has some extra time with Mrs Latham-Warde to do something special, such as a visit to the Library.

We have only just started this but here are our first three tables, White, Purple and Red! Well done everyone and we look forward to awarding our trophy to all of Great Bear Class at some point!

Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs!

On Wednesday 30th September, Mark from Devizes Museum came to visit Great Bear Class. Mark talked to us about how fossils are formed, what Wiltshire was like in the time of the dinosaurs and the type of Dinos that would have lived here.

We handled lots of real fossils, including fossilised dino poo! We asked lots of questions and got to make our own replica fossils and dinosaur masks which are totally brilliant!

Here are lots of photos of us having a great morning.

Mega Maths!

We have been working hard on developing our understanding of number, especially 0-20 and doing lots of counting.

Here are our outdoor number lines.

Here we are working inside in the dry!
